stc Bahrain upgrades home fibre with up to 6 times the speed

stc Bahrain, owned by the Saudi Telecom Company, has announced an exclusive offer for fibre customers of internet service at up to six times faster.

stc Fibre provides home broadband at up to 1 Gbps. With this upgrade, stc Bahrain is offering its most advanced fibre without a contract.

"Moreover, customers can also enjoy free OSN as part of Jawwy Tv box included in all plans starting from BD 15," said a press release from the Manama-headquartered telco.

"stc Bahrain aims to build a better life for every Bahraini and resident in Bahrain. Therefore, the new upgrade comes in line with this direction to provide the best of what technology can enable to enhance all aspects of life for both consumers and businesses," the release claimed.

Though the packages starting from BD 15 per month, stc Bahrain also offers unlimited packages starting from BD 22. Additionally, customers can subscribe through Eshop or they can visit their nearest store, said the release.

Last month, stc Bahrain rolled out 'Camouflaged Small Cell Solution' that will provide coverage improvement to 4G and 5G networks across several areas in Bahrain. This new technology enables customers with faster data services to meet the growing data traffic demand in hotspots areas in Bahrain.

The new Camouflaged Small Cell Solution provided by stc Bahrain is built to support the wireless communications in high traffic areas such as school campuses, business districts, etc. where it will increase densification of networks, hence, improving overall network, performance, and capacity.
